Camera measurement uses the device camera to track the rotational motion of the Marker Disc on the platter. Digital signal processing then calculates RPM from the tracked movement – an accurate, no-contact method used in various industries, now here for your turntable.

The Marker Disc is enclosed in the app as a printable PDF file – low cost, too.

To ensure reliable results, the app automatically compensates for camera perspective, tilt, roll, distance, focus and shutter speed. No manual calibration.

Simply mount your device in a stable, secure and leveled position about 25 cm (10 in.) above the platter, center it by observing the video overlay circles. Circles green: Ready to measure.

During measurement, video overlay and RPM variation is shown. When measurement duration completes, the calculated RPM is shown with the verified accuracy.

With a steady hand, it is possible to make 15 seconds handheld measurements. Fine for a quick sanity check on the fly.
